At 3mpwr App, we believe your data belongs to you. That’s why we’ve built powerful privacy controls directly into the app.

What You Can Control

1. Analytics & App Usage Data

Toggle: “Opt Out of Analytics”

What it does:

• When ON (opted out): We don’t collect any information about how you use the app
• When OFF: We collect anonymous usage data to improve features

Default: OFF (analytics enabled, but you can opt out anytime)

What we collect (when enabled):

• Which features you use
• How long you spend in the app
• Performance metrics

What we DON’T collect:

• Your personal information
• Your wellness data
• Your evidence or documents
• Your location (where you are)

2. Crash Reports

Toggle: “Error Reporting”

What it does:

• When ON: If the app crashes, we receive a report to help fix bugs
• When OFF: Crashes aren’t reported (but we can’t fix issues as quickly)

Default: ON (enabled to help improve stability)

What we collect (when enabled):

• Error messages
• Device type (e.g., “iPhone 12”)
• App version

What we DON’T collect:

• Your name
• Your data
• Your content

3. Search History

Toggle: “Save Search History”

What it does:

• When ON: Your searches are remembered for quick access
• When OFF: Searches still work, but history isn’t saved

Default: ON (enabled for convenience)

What we collect (when enabled):

• Your search queries (stored locally on your device)
• Recent searches for autocomplete

What we DON’T share:

• Search history stays on YOUR device
• Never sent to servers
• Never shared with anyone

4. Cloud Features

Toggle: “Cloud Features (Chat & Sync)”

What it does:

• When ON: Community chat and device sync work
• When OFF: App works fully offline

Default: Your choice during setup

🗑️ Delete Your Data

Delete Data Without Deleting Account

How: Settings → Privacy & Security → “Clear All Data”

What gets deleted:

• Wellness tracking data
• Evidence locker contents
• Saved resources
• Local app settings

What stays:

• Your account (you can still log in)
• Community posts (stored separately)

Delete Account + All Data

How: Settings → Account → “Delete Account”

What gets deleted:

• Your account
• All wellness data
• All evidence
• All community posts
• Everything

What stays:

• Nothing - it’s all permanently deleted

Note: You’ll need to re-authenticate (enter password or use Google/Apple) to confirm deletion.

📊 What Data Do We Collect?

Always Optional (You Choose)

• ✅ Province/Territory: For legal guidance specific to your area (approximate location only - no GPS)
• ✅ Name: To personalize your experience
• ✅ Email: Only if you create an account
• ✅ Wellness Data: Mood, energy, reflections (stays on your device)
• ✅ Evidence: Photos, videos, documents you upload
• ✅ Community Messages: Posts, comments, and chat (if you use community features)
• ✅ Calendar Events: Events you create or add to your calendar
• ✅ Voice Input: Voice commands for accessibility (processed in real-time, not stored)
• ✅ Analytics: Can be disabled with toggle
• ✅ Crash Reports: Can be disabled with toggle
• ✅ Search History: Can be disabled with toggle

Never Collected

• ❌ GPS/Precise Location: No exact coordinates or tracking
• ❌ Contacts: We don’t access your contact list
• ❌ SMS/Text Messages: No access to your messages
• ❌ Phone Calls: No call history or phone access
• ❌ Stored Voice Recordings: Voice commands are processed in real-time only, never saved
• ❌ Advertising IDs: No tracking or advertising identifiers
• ❌ Device Tracking: No device fingerprinting or tracking
• ❌ Web Browsing History: We don’t track your web activity
• ❌ Financial Information: No credit cards, bank info, or payment data

🔐 How We Protect Your Data

Encryption

• In Transit: ✅ ALL user data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 (military-grade security) - Your data is protected when moving between your device and servers
• At Rest: AES-256 encryption - Your data is encrypted when stored
• On Device: Hardware-backed encryption - Your device’s built-in security protects your data

Storage

• Local First: Data stored on YOUR device by default
• Your Cloud: Optional - use YOUR cloud (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)
• No Required Cloud: App works 100% offline

Privacy

• No Tracking: No advertising IDs or device tracking
• No Selling: We NEVER sell your data
• No Sharing: Data not shared with third parties except trusted service providers (see below)

🤝 Service Providers (Who Receives What)

We only share data with essential service providers to make the app work. Here’s exactly what each receives:

📱 Expo Notifications

What: Push notification delivery service
Receives: Notification token (to send you alerts)
When: Only if you enable notifications
Purpose: Deliver reminders, updates, and alerts to your device
Control: Disable in Settings → Notifications

🔥 Firebase (Google)

What: Authentication and optional cloud features
Receives:

• Email address (if you create an account)
• User ID
• App interactions (if analytics enabled)
• Authentication tokens

When: If you create an account or enable cloud features
Purpose: Account management, optional sync, community features
Control: Use Guest Mode or disable analytics in Settings
Note: BYOC mode bypasses Firebase entirely

🐛 Sentry

What: Error monitoring and crash reporting
Receives:

• Crash logs
• Error messages
• Device type (e.g., “iPhone 12”)
• App version

When: Only if Error Reporting is enabled
Purpose: Help us fix bugs and improve app stability
Control: Toggle “Error Reporting” OFF in Settings → Privacy & Security
Privacy: No personal data, names, or content sent

🔒 What These Services DON’T Receive

• Your wellness data
• Your evidence locker contents
• Your journal entries
• Your personal documents
• Your precise location
• Your contacts or photos (except what you explicitly upload)

🛡️ Our Commitments

• Contractual Protection: All service providers are bound by strict data processing agreements
• No Third-Party Selling: These providers cannot sell or share your data
• Minimal Data: We only send what’s necessary for each service to function
• Your Control: You can disable each service except essential authentication

🌟 Choose Your Privacy Mode

3mpwrApp offers three privacy modes to match your needs:

🔵 Default Mode (Easy & Private)

How it works:

• Your data stays on your device by default
• Optional backup to our secure cloud (Firebase) if you enable it
• Easy login with email, Google, or Apple

Best for: Most users who want both convenience and privacy

What we can access: Only what you choose to backup

🟢 Hybrid Mode (Recommended) ⭐

How it works:

• Easy login: Sign in with email, Google, or Apple (we handle authentication)
• Your data, your cloud: ALL your content goes to YOUR chosen cloud storage
• We only see your login: Never your posts, evidence, wellness data, or files

Best for: Users who want easy sign-in BUT total control of their data

What we can access: Only your authentication (login credentials) - never your content

Configure your cloud:

• Google Drive
• Dropbox
• OneDrive
• iCloud
• Nextcloud
• Your own server
• Any cloud storage you choose

🟣 Strict BYOC Mode (Maximum Privacy)

How it works:

• No Firebase at all: Complete air-gap, we’re completely disconnected
• 100% your cloud: Connect ANY storage provider you want
• Session-only: Your cloud credentials are never saved by the app

Best for: Maximum privacy advocates, healthcare settings, legal professionals

What we can access: Nothing - the app only talks to YOUR cloud

Configure your cloud:

• Google Drive
• Dropbox
• OneDrive
• iCloud
• Nextcloud
• Your own server (WebDAV)
• Any cloud storage provider
